What is Profhilo?
Firstly, it is important to know that Profhilo has won the award for injectable product of the year multiple times because it really is that good! Profhilo has been specially formulated to contain one of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic Acid in the industry. Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance found in our bodies, responsible for hydrating, counteracting skin laxity and improving and restoring the firmness of the skin (in simple term – the substance that keeps our skin looking healthy and youthful).
Our body naturally produces less Hyaluronic Acid after the age of 25 and keeps diminishing each year, which means we then begin to see the signs of ageing in the form of fine lines, wrinkles, sagging and less tight skin. This is why Profhilo treatment is so important for every single person as it replaces the Hyaluronic Acid that our body no longer produces so we can maintain skin tightness and hydration, giving an overall more youthful appearance and slowing down the effects of ageing.

How does the treatment work?
The beauty of Profhilo is that it restores radiance and hydrates the skin from the inside out. Once injected, the Hyaluronic Acid draws water to the area, restoring the skin’s hydro-balance, creating slight volume and improving the skins structure and elasticity. Hyaluronic Acid is the substance responsible for triggering the body to form collagen, this new collagen formation gives the skin that beautiful tightening effect which you would not see happen naturally over the age of 25.
Whether you are wanting to treat the face or neck (or both) the area will be numbed with a topical anaesthetic, and you will receive 10 injections perfectly placed for optimal results.
An initial 2–3 treatments are required 1 month apart to kick-start the collagen synthesis and skin hydration. It is then recommended to have 2 sessions every 6–12 months hereafter to maintain results. Not only will you visibly see the results on your skin after a few treatments, but continued use of Profhilo on the skin will really slow down the effects of ageing. For example, having regular Profhilo treatments over 5 years will massively slow down the ageing process in that treatment area, 5 years may have passed, but your skin will not have aged 5 years!
What to expect after the treatment?
Immediately after the treatment you will have raised bumps at the injection site, this is the product under the skin. Usually this disperses within a few hours but can take a few days.
You will be able to visibly see the results on your skin 1 month after your second or third treatment. This is when the stronger types of collagen are starting to be formed and will continue to do so for 6 months after the treatment. This collagen then stays in the skin, it doesn’t just disappear after 6 months! This is why we recommend maintenance treatments every 6–12 months to not only maintain the collagen that has been built by your first treatment, but to keep adding more and more for incredible results.
What is SUNEKOS?
Sunekos is another brand of award-winning Hyaluronic Acid Skin Boosters with its own unique benefits. It has a lower concentration of Hyaluronic Acid, but it also contains Amino Acids unlike Profhilo. Sunekos is used to target specific areas of concern of the face such as; under eye dark circles, eye bags, specific areas of wrinkles such as crows feet and ‘smokers lines’ on the upper lip and many more. It also helps to even out skin tone and texture too!
Why combine PROFHILO & SUNEKOS treatments?
